Shankar
Jaikishan’s fans are aware of their (Bhaira)virtuosity in composing raga-based film songs, so it wasn’t
surprising when they weren’t found (Jaijai)wanting in Seema.
Manmohana Bade Jhoothe, penned by Shailendra, was one of the
most famous songs based on the latter, which is seldom used in Hindi films.
It was four
minutes and nine seconds long, and was rendered by Lata Mangeshkar.
Here’s some
information about Raga Jaijaiwanti: Also spelled Jaijaivanti, the raga is sung between 6pm and 9pm. It is
a summer raga. It was composed by Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh guru.
