Main Bambai Ka Babu, from Naya Daur was about Mumbai, composed by Nayyar, sung by Mohammed
Rafi and picturised on Johnny Walker [who was, incidentally, a bus conductor
with the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking before his
foray into films.]
Sahir Ludhianvi
penned the song, which was two minutes and 58 seconds long.
(Disclaimer: Its
resemblance to another track must’ve been coincidental. But it would be unfair
to conduct an OPinion poll on the better of the two, because they have another
thing in common – they were, are and will always be popular.)
