MR and Mrs Dutt rocked

Jaane Kahan Mera Jigar Gaya Ji was a duet from Mr. & Mrs. ’55 (which, as the title suggests, released in 1955).

There is no doubt about the fact that the rendition by Mohammed Rafi and Mrs Dutt is unforGe(e)table.

But it could just as well have been identified it as a Johnny Walker track. Such was the popularity of the funnyman then that songs picturised on him became a category unto itself.

The song was penned by Majrooh and composed by O P Nayyar [who couldn’t care less about endearing himself to the (Sultan)purists].
