This poignant track cHo(u)se Hemant

Mr Dehlvi's real name was Shaukat Ali. He composed Tasveer Banata Hoon, a song from the 1955 film Baradari.

He was renamed Nashad because the director of an earlier film whose music he scored was snubbed by Naushad Ali.

(Na)S(h)adly, both the music director at the receiving end of this rechristening, and a majority of his subsequent compositions, went unnoticed.

That was probably what the u dropped by the spiteful director stood for.

Coming back to the aforementioned (Tala)track, it was one of the most re(Khu)markable songs penned by Barabankvi and was rendered by Mahmood.
