Owing to the
number of feathers in his cap, Kishore Kumar was indeed the baap of all the multi-talented folks
that the Hindi film industry is teeming with.
So it was
fitting that Piya Piya Piya Mera Jiya
Pukaare, a song he sang, was from Baap
Re Baap, a 1955 film in which he also played the lead.
He teamed up
with Asha, whose P(iy)artnership with O P Nayyar (who composed the track) is
the stuff of (Bhos)legend.
It was penned by
Jan Nisar, the patriarch of the Akhtar clan (and the baap of Javed).
