Although most
Hindi film music buffs have heard Humein
Toh Loot Liya Milke Husnwaalon Ne, it’s likely that the majority of them
don’t know the names of the lyricist, the composer and the singer.
Although I was
aware of its popularity, it wasn’t until I added it to my collection that I
came to know it was from Al Hilal (1958),
and Rizvi was the (She)wan who penned it.
It was composed
by a man named Bulo C Rani.
And those who
don’t know who rendered it needn’t hAza(r)d a guess – he was qa(wwa)lled
Ismail.
