Dey provided wholesome entertainment too

As was the case with my previous post, this one is also about a song that brought a pair of MDs (music directors) and an inimitable singer, whose initials are MD, together.

The track in question is none other than Dil Ka Haal Sune Dilwaala from Shree 420 (which went on to become the top grosser of 1955). It was composed by Shankar Jaikishan and rendered by Manna Dey.

And thanks to Shailendra’s lyrics, what you have is a song that continues to be an instant mood-lifter.

It was five minutes and 36 seconds long.
