A track that was
Simply SuperB, an awesome composition by the Monarch of Rhythm and, as has been
said about a Maj(o)r(ooh)ity of the songs penned by Sultanpuri, an absolute treat
for the ears – these are just three ways to describe Leke Pehla Pehla Pyar, the song from C.I.D.
Of course, it
wasn’t surprising that O P Nayyar chose Shamshad Begum, Mohammed Rafi and
Bhosle to render it, but it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that even today, the
song sounds fresh. And, Ashas already been mentioned, the film celebrated its
diamond jubilee last year.
