It is not just
eye (I), but there must be many who heart (love) Dil Ki Nazar Se, the song from Anari,
which was penned by Shailendra and was four minutes and 38 seconds long.
Here’s the
reason it’s close to my heart – the second half of its first line (which goes, “Nazron ki dil se”) highlighted the
importance of two-way communication.
The Shankar Jaikishan
composition was rendered by Mukesh and Lata Mangeshkar, and could be translated
to, “What’s the matter, what’s the secret the heart wants to share with the
eyes, and vice versa?”
